Bullet Train Rajasthan Route
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that India will get its first bullet train by August 15, 2027. This project is expected to transform rail travel in India and bring a new experience to long-distance train journeys.
According to available information, a major portion of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor will pass through Rajasthan. This route will connect several important cities, including Jaipur, and open new opportunities for train tourism and rail holidays in India.
The Railway Minister has said that the bullet train will mark a new era in the history of Indian Railways. It is expected to greatly improve the future of premium train journeys and long-distance travel across the country.
On Thursday, he officially announced the 2027 launch date. Earlier, the Prime Minister visited the Surat bullet train station in Gujarat on November 15, where inspections and discussions gave fresh momentum to this landmark project.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inspected the Surat bullet train station and reviewed the progress of the work. It is believed that India’s long-awaited dream of a bullet train will soon become a reality, enhancing high-end train travel options.
Work on this ambitious project is progressing quickly. Most of the basic infrastructure for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor is nearly complete.
The bullet train running between Ahmedabad and Mumbai will pass through several cities in Rajasthan, adding value to future train tour packages and rail-based travel experiences.

As per the proposed route, the main stations in Rajasthan include Jaipur, Ajmer, Behror, Shahjahanpur, Vijaynagar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Kherwara.
Along with the state capital Jaipur, this route will connect many cities of the Mewar region. Nearly 75 percent of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed corridor is expected to pass through Rajasthan, making it a major highlight for upcoming train trips across India.

A large section of the 878-kilometer-long Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed corridor is being constructed in Rajasthan. This will greatly improve connectivity between Rajasthan and major cities and support the future of modern train tours and rail holiday packages in India.
