Students Architecture Central Tour
Duration:- 6 Nights / 7 Days
Destinations Covered:- Delhi > Agra > Gwalior > Orchha > Khajuraho > Delhi
Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive at Delhi airport. You will be met by representative of Student Architecture tour of Central India. Check into a hotel confirmed for your overnight accommodation as designed under this Student tour of North India from Delhi. After having a shower you will be given an outline on your Student tour of North India which commences next day in the morning.
Day 2 : Delhi / Agra
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and meet with your Student Architecture tour of Central Indiarepresentative who will give you travel kit. Visit Jama Masjid, - the largest mosque in India. Drive past the magnificent Red Fort, built on the banks of River Yamuna by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Continue to New Delhi, city created to reflect the might of the British Empire, visit 12th century Qutab Minar - gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234 feet. Explore tomb of emperor Humayun - a predecessor of the Mughal style of architecture. After lunch drive to Agra for your overnight stay.
Day 3 : Agra
At the break of dawn of Student Architecture tour of Central India visit the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunrise (closed on Fridays). Constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in reminiscence to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this is the definitive tribute to love ever transliterate in structural design.
Later drive your vehicle to Agra and on arrival visit Agra Fort. This fort was constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1565. The high red stone monument stretches for around 2 1/2 km. The palace is a famous for its smooth combination of Hindu and central Asian architectural style. Also visit Itmad / Ul / Daulatabad, a replica of Taj Mahal. Spend your night in Agra.
Day 4 : Agra = Gwalior (By train 0820 / 0935)
On day 4 of Student Architecture tour of Central India board your train for Gwalior (1 1/2 hours). On arrival at Gwalior you will be transferred to your hotel. After some relaxation visit Gwalior Fort where momentous events have happened: imprisonments, battles & jauhars. In the fort there is some marvelous architecture such as Gujarai Mahal & Man Mandir Palace. Also visit Teli Ka Mandir, Sas-Bahu-ka-Mandir & Jai Vilas Palace where you can see Darbar Hall which has two chandeliers, weighing some tonnes and was hung only after 10 elephants had tested the strength of the room. Overnight stay is in Gwalior.
Day 5 : Gwalior to Orchha (120 km 3.5 hrs drive)
Morning drive to Orchha. On arrival check in at your hotel. Visit places as Orchha Fort, Jahanir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Rai Parveen Mahal & Ram Raja Mandir. Also enjoy rafting in river Betwa (Subject to water level in the river). Spend your night in Orchha.
Day 6 : Orchha to Khajuraho
On day 6 of Student Architecture tour of Central India drive to city of architectural and erotic temples ?Khajuraho?. On arrival visit for half-day tour of the temples the WESTERN SET OF TEMPLES of Khajuraho. This town sounds authentic temples (85 original), which are intended to Shiva, Vishnu and the Jain. This city was one of the ruler Chandela capitals. All the temples, both inside and outside the richly decorated with excellent, soulful, and often erotic themed sculptures.
Day 7 : Khajuraho / Jhansi = Delhi (By train 1730 / 2230)
Morning visit eastern and southern set of Temples. After lunch drive to Jhansi railway station to board speedy train for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board the flight for onwards journey. Tour concludes with happy memories of Student Architecture tour of Central India.
