After breakfast drive to Agra enroute visit Sikandra - Tomb of Akbar the Great is a significant architectural in Sikandra a hamlet of Agra. The third Mughal Emperor Akbar, himself started its creation in around 1600, to commence the building of one's tomb during one's life span. Akbar himself designed his own mausoleum. After his death, Akbar's son Jahangir finished the construction in the years 1605-1613. Later visit Taj mahal. Taj Mahal was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in remembrance of his much loved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal became a World Heritage Site and was quoted as "the gemstone of Muslim art in India and one of the unanimously admired masterpieces of the world's heritage." The building of the tomb started in 1631 when Mumtaz Mahal died while giving birth to Shahjahan's 14th child and was finished in 1653. A superb construction in white marble, the Taj Mahal is illustrious for its architectural splendor and artistic beauty. A local draftsman, Ustad Ahmad Lahori, planned this utmost temple of love located between the tranquil ambiences of fine arranged gardens. The mausoleum stands at one end of the garden loveliness with fountains and marble streets. The garden encloses four water waterways to resonance the four rivers of the Islamic ecstasy. Continue your visit the Agra Fort which was built by Akbar. This fort is built along the river Yamuna with several buildings inside. In the fort there are many places where you can get an insight of Mughals livelihood. Continue your sightseeing by visiting famous Tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula created by Noorjehan in remembrance of her father.
